Chad was a star at Dunbar here in Lexington and won a state title in 2007. He went on to pitch at Indiana University and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs. After a long stint in the minor leagues, he came home to be lead pitching instructor and part owner of LBS. He has established himself as one of, if not , the #1 pitching instructor in Central KY.
John started LBS in 2007 after a successful playing career in the NY Mets organization. John came to the University of Kentucky in 1997 as a catcher from California. When he was drafted in 2000, he was (still is) the all-time leader in Home Runs at Kentucky. John specializes in hitting, but also does catching, fielding and pitching lessons.
Henrry came to us in 2018 from Cuba. He played professionally in the Cuban league and coached for the Cuban National team in Venezuala. Henrry's energy and enthusiasm is a favorite of all his pupils. He specializes in hitting, fielding and pitching.
Ty played at Dunbar and has been an instructor with LBS for 5+ years. He has also been instrumental in helping grow the Grays travel program by coaching and recruiting players around town. Ty specializes in hitting, fielding and pitching.
Holly was a player at Dunbar from 1999-2003 and went on to play college at Brescia University from 2004-2007. After returning to Lexington after college, Holly has coached at West Jessamine and Dunbar. She specializes in pitching, hitting and fielding.
Andrew played his high school baseball at Tates Creek as a speedy outfielder before committing to the University of Kentucky. He ended his career at Bellarmine prior to joining the LBS staff. Andrew specializes in hitting and fielding.
Bailey was an all state player at Lafayette prior to attending Campbellsville University. At Campbellsville she set multiple hitting records and was a two-time All American. After graduating, she got into coaching and just finished her 2nd year as Cumberland Head Coach. In 2 short years, she has turned the program into a force to to reckoned with in the Mid-South Conference. Bailey does hitting, pitching and fielding lessons.
Pookie was a two sport star at both Calloway Co HS and the University of Kentucky. He was drafted by the Colorado Rockies. After playing several years of minor league baseball, he moved back to Lexington and has spent many years coaching and giving instruction to players around the state. He specializes in hitting and fielding.
Cody played his high school baseball at GRC before having a very successfull career at Asbury College as a 3rd baseman and pitcher. He is our longest tenured coach in the Grays organization and has been teaching hitting and fielding at LBS for the last 8 years.
